You seem to struggle at getting the bass to follow along with the melody. Could it perhaps be your speakers/headphones not outputting frequencies that low? If so, definitely consider upgrading them so you can hear what you're doing when making music.

CrystaluxX responds:

The track is wanted like this. Its a remake/remix of a track with similiar bass structure and sound and I made the bass extra strong in this one.

Heya.
With Solarize's melody being in A# minor, you're having issues the elements you brought in being off key including the kick drum.

Other than that, the arrangement and ideas for the drops are pretty good!

CrystaluxX responds:

Thank you! I heard the track again and i fixed the kick.

This is seriously some really impressive stuff, great job! Hardstyle ain't the easiest genre to produce and you nailed it!

ItsAlmagestFR responds:

Thank You so much! Energy of Asia is actually the hardest track i've ever make so far. i takes almost 1 year to perfecting this track. and that is also the reason why this track is not on the Official Album of Asian Games 2018

Try using a better sounding piano, FL Key's isn't known for sounding that great. 4Front Piano Module is a great free one. I'd also filter the delay and more add reverb to it.

The mixdown isn't too great. Don't put so much sidechaining onto the supersaw chords. You need to use better sounding drums, try making them louder too along with the bass. The bass also needs a separate sub as I hear the sub disappearing with all the filtering going on with it.

I'd suggest using more effects too, especially during the build ups.

However, the sound design itself is pretty alright when it comes to the bass and the chords. The arrangement is good too. Keep it up!

5TanLey responds:

these aren't fl keys, and I kinda like the way the piano sounds

otherwise fair points, thanks for the tips :)

Nice attempt but work on your mastering yo.

Transverze responds:

Thanks! I'll work on it. :)

Nice track ya got here. I really like the kick and bass in the intro!

Transverze responds:

Thanks!

I feel the rhythm of the melodies don't really flow very nicely but that's subjective. Some of the notes also feel off, especially with the square lead in the last section but that could just be a stylistic choice to go chromatic.

The synths were fine, no problems there. The drums were a bit quiet to me, especially the kick drum. Keep at it, this is a great attempt!

Aesaire responds:

Chromatic square notes at the end were intentional, it's not to everyone's liking I guess. Kick was a C64 sample, so it's more downsampled than the other instruments in the track, was experimenting with combining old and modern elements. Might seem soft because it's pretty atonal and doesn't have the heavier bass / sub bass of other kicks.

Thanks for the review anyway, I appreciate it.

Way too compressed. I get you're going for loud but you really went overboard. Even the quiet sections are really loud, there's no contrast between the breakdowns and the drops.

0:14 you're missing a snare. Only using a clap won't do. The bell is panned a bit too much I think as well.

0:55 you could make a high pass automation on the kick as it's the build up (and currently has the same amount of bass as the drop)

Drop at 1:09 needs a sub bass.

Turn down the volume of the white noise you layered over the drop too.
The riser effects are too loud as well.

3.5 stars as it's a good start, but currently has too many issues with the mix.

DJ-Doty responds:

Thank you very much for the good review! Glad to see you pointed out where I can improve! Will take to heart. :)
